In fact, it is recommended, because the IC pad pitch is just 0.5 mm, that only one solder mask opening should be used for all four pads on one side. It is also suggested, when using solder paste printing, that a laser-cut stainless steel stencil with trapezoidal walls and with a stencil thickness of 0.1 or 0.125 mm should be used. See the images below. This information should be quite helpful for a PCB layout design team.

RC servos are used to provide actuation for various mechanical systems such as the steering of a car, the control surfaces on a plane, or the rudder of a boat. Due to their affordability, reliability, and simplicity of control by microprocessors, they are often used in small-scale robotics applications. A standard RC receiver (or a microcontroller) sends pulse-width modulation (PWM) signals to the servo. The electronics inside the servo translate the width of the pulse into a position. When the servo is commanded to rotate, the motor is powered until the potentiometer reaches the value corresponding to the commanded position.

On the high end are precision industrial components that use a rotary encoder. On the low end are inexpensive radio control servos (RC servos) used in radio-controlled models which use a free-running motor and a simple potentiometer position sensor with an embedded controller. The term servomotor generally refers to a high-end industrial component while the term servo is most often used to describe the inexpensive devices that employ a potentiometer. Stepper motors are not considered to be servomotors, although they too are used to construct larger servomechanisms. Stepper motors have inherent angular positioning, owing to their construction, and this is generally used in an open-loop manner without feedback. They are generally used for medium-precision applications.

The steam engine uses mechanical governors; another early application was to govern the speed of water wheels. Prior to World War II the constant speed propeller was developed to control engine speed for maneuvering aircraft. Fuel controls for gas turbine engines employ either hydromechanical or electronic governing.

Care should be taken when depaneling the perforated-tab PCB array; otherwise, an incorrect method will splinter or tear the solder-mask or active surface layer. The ideal breakout method should not cause any damage to the board or transfer stress from the PCB surface to the components.

This allows them to easily fit the boards in the standard assembly, reflow, or automatic inspection machines. In addition to handling the irregular boards, the technologies enable the simultaneous processing of multiple boards as opposed to working on each board individually, hence reducing the production time and costs.

Generally, the fixture materials, which range from synthetic plastics and stones to aluminum alloys and epoxy glass, should be electrostatic neutral, and able to withstand repeated thermal cycles and chemicals without deforming or wear. In particular, the thin fixtures provide better thermal management.

PCBs with SMT on both sides and those with mixed TH and SMTs may start to flex and bow when in the reflow oven or selective soldering machine. For this reason, the maximum size for this type of board is usually smaller than the single-sided. Breaking out the boards manually can stress the board and components near the edges, the solder joints, or leave out rough stubs on the edges
